NW Readers Put Author Neil Low at Top of List


Embracing the latest release from Northwest Author and Seattle Police Commander Neil Low, book lovers pushed Unreasonable Persuasion, Low's third novel, onto area top of 2010 lists. Released in September,Unreasonable Persuasion (Tigress Publishing) ended 2010 as the #3 mystery trade paperback sold in Seattle according to the Independent Mystery Booksellers Association.

Mystery fans may join Low as he meets area book enthusiasts and signs all three titles in his Alan Stewart Mystery Series at these upcoming events:

  • Seattle Book Summit, Tuesday February 1st, 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Swedish Cultural Center, 1920 Dexter Avenue North, Seattle.
    Low will be available to sign books and answer audience questions.

  • Tigress Wine and Words with Mystery Author Neil Low,Friday, February 4th, 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm pm, Winestyles, Marysville.
    This intimate gathering gives book and wine enthusiasts the opportunity to interact with Low and enjoy specials on wine and nibbles.

  • Tigress Publishing's Murder Mystery Tour Featuring Author Neil Low, Friday, February 11th, 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm, Pioneer Square, Seattle.
    Revolving around the theme "My Bloody Valentine", this event includes a lively reading from Unreasonable Persuasion, a wine reception, walking tour of Pioneer Square, and a signed first edition copy of his book. Reservations are required. Visit Low's website, www.neillow.com , for details.

    Currently Night Duty Commander for the Seattle Police Department, Low has been with the SPD for over 40 years. Throughout his career, he has commanded a variety of areas including Homicide and Violent Crimes, Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault, Internal Affairs, and Advanced Training. Low began his writing career when he returned to the University of Washingtonā€™s Bothell campus to complete his college degree. A Seattle native, Low now lives in Snohomish County with his wife and daughters. Published by Tigress Publishing, all three titles in the Alan Stewart Series are available at independent booksellers and major on-line book retailers.
